i hope everyone is having a great holiday. mine isn't going that good. it's been awhile since i can think of one that was good. sometimes i wonder do people really have holidays like on the t.v.? is there really a time that people get together and are thinking of others and have a merry time? and why can't i get that? mine's only full of wastefulness, rudeness, yelling, fighting, sexisim, racisim, homophobia and plain ol negativity. the only thing i can be thankful for is that i don't have to be home the majority of the time.

so i want to ask you,

are you having a peaceful holiday?

because i don't know what one is like.

i guess i've always been a homebody. i like being by myself with the computer and music and good food. that's all i really need. if i click with someone and they want to hang out that's cool but i'd rather be by myself than have all this hectic negativity around me.

don't burn the house down.

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time this year jess.

As you know i have the baby with me, and this is his first big Christmas, he calls it "kismiss" we took him to take pictures with Santa, and ever time someone came to the door, he thought it was santa bring his toys.

When the day came, My gift to him was a guitar, he love music, he kept it with him all day, and played it all day, ( it make sounds with one touch) and yes i'm sorry i got the dam thing.

But he loves it, and the next day he woke up looking for Santa again.
So the day was his day, family came and dropped off his gifts, and played with him before they left for work.

It's nice being 3 year, nothing to worry about.

Do you have plans for New Year Eve?
Are you going out?

I'm sorry to hear your holidays haven't been that great...

this is the first year ever we spent it as a family, without any other relatives... things did seem quiet, and there were no arguments either.

although... we did have a heated discussion the day after boxing day when my Aunt, who suggested 5 years ago we do Secret Santa, said she wasn't happy with the gifts she had received for the last few years... so everyone agreed to scrap the whole idea completely, which I think was unfair... but I was out of the room when that happened, I hid in the kitchen washing the dishes...

Have a Happy New Year *wink*
thanks, that's just what happens when i get around the folks and family.lol to much negativity comes out from them.

isn't that funny? it defeats the purpose of secret santa, if you know what your going to get then you shouldn't do it. it should be the thought that counts.

that's cute.

no i don't have any plans for new years eve and i probably am going to stay at home like i usually do.

back at home i don't have any friends or know anyone. so i don't have anyone to really hang out with. that and the fact that i don't drink makes new years eve a regular night for me. the last time i did something special was with my parents eating lime sherbert with ginger ale and popcorn watching the rockets game on t.v. back when they weren't so negative.

i hope yours go fine.

Sorry, Jess. If you want to email me I can offer some suggestions. My holiday was absolutely great!
it's okay. i just wanted to see if my holidays were as fucked up as i thought they were or if i was overreacting and it seems like their just as bad as i thought they were and that most people tend to have fun holidays.

We love ya Jess. Hope its not too bad. I tell you what I do.
I make sure im doing something else. I cant stand it either so I just dont do it. Avoid like plague.
Invite congenial friends only over. Avoid family situations. Avoid sister and notorious brother in law. Avoid dregs of cousins from Sunderland. Go down pub play poole. Have S&M session. Forget tukeys and shit. Besides which by the time I was 38 I was so bored with the xmas nonesense anyway only the dog was worth talking to. Its great they are two hundred miles away. I phone them up wish them merry christmas, I can hear the tension I, I keep it short. Avoid like plague. Then off to have fun....
Life is too short. Honestly!
