Seems my computer was infected with some sort of Virus (probably hacked from accessing MySpace or summat). So I've just taken that down. Also found out a friend of mine in the US had a heart attack this week. She is making all of us swear to go into the doc for a check. I'm not as active as I could be so I agree, even though I'm considered rather young. Thing is she's a nurse - one of those nurses in the US that should be a doctor but just doesn't have a degree for it - and should have known better. I'm sure once she's better we're all going to come down on her like a tonne of bricks. So, things to do, and I can't hang as we're still scanning this comp. Meh. |

Very sorry to hear about your friend! Due to chronic illnesses, I have to get a series of blood tests every six months to a year, and always ask them to add in a full panel screen (testing cholesterol, insulin, metabolism, hormones, etc). Half the people in my mom's family drop dead of heart attacks, and mom even had an attack at 35. Have been doing that since 21 years-old. It's also good because then there's a history of the test results over time. So, looking back, the doc might see a pattern in some of the results that would help him/her detect a problem. Know what I mean? That's partly how they picked up on the problem with my adrenal glands.
