WARNING: This post contains material that, when read correctly (yay alt making me post PC *sigh*) is not comfortable. Apparently, the previous post was too offensive, so this is the innuendo version. Wonder why other folks can post stuff more graphic than this, and I can't... I believe this post is from Friday...

My day has been crappy. I scraped my sunburn while sleeping, so I woke up in pain. I couldn't concentrate enough to eat, and still can't. I had a girlie doctor appointment and not only do I not deal well at all with that, but I also had to sit in the room listening to two nurses and a nurse(or doctor)out in the hall, musing about what an IUD was. They didn't know!! How can you work at a hospital in the OB/GYN department and not know!! One of the nurses had never even heard of it before I told her I had one. (She asked what kind of birth control I was on.) Heck, I need to get a job there, I bet the money's good. I know more than she does!

I go swimming after. It helps some. I become relaxed enough not to cry on the ride home. I seriously mean it when I said I don't deal with with girlie doctor visits.

So I returned home after my daily swim to check the phone for messages. Turns out there was one, from my mother. She directs me to the website of the newspaper of the town I used to live in.

Here's some background story:

When I was in high school, I was a total jock. I swam, ran track and cross country. The track team must have had half a dozen coaches. There were two long-distance coaches, one field coach, one sprint coach and a head coach. Ok, so only 5. During cross country, both of the distance coaches were our main coaches.

One was a 22 year old marine recruiter. He did great at our school, since he had contact with students all the time. He had one major flaw though. He liked to befriend the sophomores and some juniors. It makes it tough when you're waiting on an NCAA Div I Scholarship. I can't even think of an insult that makes me happy that alt will post. Not that I blame them on that one. 'Nuff said.

The other guy balanced him out. He was charismatic, cheerful, even when you swore and shouted how much you hated him for making you run 10+ miles. He told great jokes and was just overall a great guy. My senior year in high school, he was elected mayor, defeating a 3 time incumbent mayor. That guy is a whole different story, I lived in a small country southern town with a serious "Good Ole Boy" problem. Anyway, between this coach, and the fact that I needed to be in shape for swimming, and was counting on a track scholarship, the other jerk was made bearable... I'm sure you get it. Not only did he coach track, and was mayor, his twin brother and he ran the local "Project Voice" which was a center for teens to go. It educated teens on drugs, etc and so on. It was a place with a pool table, video games, etc music, whatever. All free and somewhere safe to hang out. I didn't know until recently that this guy had a stepdaughter, who apparently was still under the age of 12 as of December, and was 9 a couple of years before that. He had a degree in what I wanted to go to college for (and still do) and his older brother did exactly what I've always wanted to do for a living. It was really neat talking to him. He even counted as a mentor in one of my independent studies classes.

This is slightly out of order to be non-offensive. We'll see how it works out.

So I go to the website and look up an article called, "Ex-mayor pleads guilty." Not a good start. I open the window and start reading. Now I have to say my day is probably totally ruined. The nice guy, the good coach pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor, and I was shocked. Twice. I just don't know how to be clear, without using too much... I wonder... Michael Jackson? If they post this, then you'll be able to figure it out, I think. His stepdaughter was 9 and then just under 12. Yuck.

Great so now both coaches are bad men. Good job picking coaches there, school board! Thumbs up to you! So, now I am going mentally curl up in a ball and pretend the rest of the world doesn't exist. I feel sick.

Sorry if reading this threw you into the same state I'm in. I warned you.

That is enough to drag anybodies day down. (And as for alt not posting the orgigonal...their computer system is whacky...usually I just resubmit with no changes and everything goes through...try it next time)
