made in 1969.

directed by peter hunt, starring george lazenby and diana rigg.

i saw this 007 adventure for the first time a few days ago.

i am NOT a bondophile.

but - this is a franchise that deserves a serious director like david lynch, martin scorcese or quentin tarantino.

however, OHMSS is great fun.

(okay ... mr. lazenby doesn't pass muster, but - he's no more
wooden than pierce brosnan.)

during the ski chase, i was reminded of hitchcock's 'north by
northwest' which is an 007 flick without the themetune.

( john barry's soundtrack has to be the all time No.1.)

OHMSS has THE best ending of any bond adventure ...

007 marries the heroine in a ceremony in provence ( not sure
about the location) they drive along the coastline and stop near
the cliff edge.

james exits the aston martin to remove flower garlands ...

suddenly, a black mercedes pulls alongside and the bad guy's
(telly savalas) fraulein sidekick machine guns the aston ...

the beautiful heroine DIES!

myinnocence3,

first of all, thank you for taking the time to read my blog.

i know what i did deserves a jolly good spanking, but - i couldn't resist it.

one-liners.

ciao xxxxxxxx
