A 10 foot-high statue of Hercules in the French town of Arcachon has been fitted with a removable penis to thwart vandals, who've been stealing the mythical hero's member. The towering statue has been castrated numerous times since it was erected in 1948. To protect Hercules' manhood from the hoodlums, town officials have now commissioned a removable
prosthetic that will be attached to the statue's groin for special ceremonies in the park-and removed right after. "I wouldn't want anyone-not even my worst enemies-to go through what happens to this statue," Mayor Yves Foulon said.
