Everyone can benefit from the occasional dead battery. Too many people (me included, at times) never seem to notice that there is an an entire vibrant world to see and explore if you look just outside the confines of your 4.5-inch touch screen. It's such a shame to miss it.

Cool observation and I love that photo! Reminds me of that pic of Brim on a swing.

Even pre-internet times I have always traveled with a book, or crossword puzzles, or both, but over and over again I'd find myself unable to concentrate on those things because I kept being distracted by watching the people around me. lol (That doesn't stop me from still traveling with my ereader these days! I guess I just like to carry around extra baggage. )

I don't know that I find them all beautiful...understandably sometimes travel, especially air travel with all the lines, security, tight crowded planes, and delays, brings out the ugly in people. So good-on-ya for being able to see through all that to the beauty.

It's the new, sentimental Kim. If you find yourself tearing up a lot lately at corny movies and Hallmark commercials, you might want to get one of those home pregnancy tests. (Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I think you've indicated that that's not a possibility for you anymore?)

Uh, oh. Sounds like you are becoming thoughtful and kind in your young age.

Your description of your mother sounds like great fodder for a scene from a comedy. It was very well described and I could easily picture it.

I suspect it would be very entertaining to travel with you. (As long as one complied for the request for silence on occasion.)

Lol I have a mother and a kid like that. I wouldnt trade em for the world, but sometimes........I find myself humming Silence is Golden.

Its astounding how beautiful things about people just jump out at you without you even having to really look. Nothing sexual or gender specific even, its just one of those human things that draw us to each other.

Beauty is everywhere. Kind of a shame all the times we miss its magic because we are moving too fast or somewhere too specific to catch it.

Sometimes life works best for me when it doesnt go according to my schedule.

Good for you girl.

Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character.
At night I gaze at the starry mass with no idea to which one the earth attached.
May'be that cute little one over there or that one that sits alone in the inky black
