I was not aware of such a condition. Are there exercises you can do during the flight to minimize the swelling? You have lovely feet btw.

I am surprised he was allowed to take a bottle of wine on board! usually one is limited to 100 ml!

The perils of air travel, but really? Wine in a plastic bag? A shame. Another day of rest and you'll be perfect.

I wear compression stocking from time to time too.

I also get the heebie jeebies from the cramped nature of flying and the inability to move around. I flew quite a bit years ago attending seminar inthe various medical fields for a company that produced medical education programs. Early on, I recorded seminars by the Hypnotist to the Stars, Dr. William S. Kroger, who dealt with Freddie Prince and Linda Lovelace (met her twice, whacked out!).

Anyway, at dinner I mentioned my sleep patters were messed up from traveling so much via the different time zones and the lack of sleep and the cramped flights. He gave me post hypnotic suggestions to have me go to sleep as the planes left the runway until touch down unless I want to have a meal or watch a movie or converse. Anyway, to this day it still work and I don;t feel so cramped unless I choose not to sleep.

This may be something you can explore, certain physiological things can also be controlled with hypnosis. Blood pressure, anxiety, and heart rate.

Nice legs BTW.

Airflight- you are breathing everyone else's unfiltered air- an awesome way to get sick

Airflight- best way to get a embolism in your leg if you do not take care of yourself. This, aside from the side effect of death, is extremely painful and difficult to treat. Usually can be broken up with a sonar if small enough; if too big, surgery. If it gets knocked loose, well, it can be a heart attack.

Pressure stockings are important- leg movement- anything you can do to help circulation. While many are saying nice legs, I see very swollen ankles (and if you were wearing high heels on the flight- gah, don't tell me!). You need to gentle massage and get the circulation back moving - you know that things are starting to function correctly again when you can see the veins in your foot start to become obvious.
