Pygmalion was a mythical Greek sculpture who fell in love with Galatea (one of his female statues). At his request, the goddess Aphrodite brought her to life. Today, this term refers to people with a statue or mannequin fetish. The practice of having sex with a statue was common among worshippers of the god Priapus, where virgins were first to be penetrated by him. A few ancient statues had removable penises to facilitate their use as dildos. A few people in todays S/M community use a psychological form of restraint where the person, like a staue, is not to move or respond to the fondling actions of their partner. And people everywhere are fascinated with the royal gaurds at Buckingham Palace for their statue-like imperviousness. (see also: androidism, fornicatory dolls and phallophilia) |
