Sounds very likely that a stuck-closed thermostat is preventing coolant to cycle through the engine block. On most makes/models is is usually a pretty quick and easy fix. Hopefully it's that or something equally small, and you get a chance to see your friend this weekend. Here's hoping you leave that handbasket behind somewhere, and better days are coming. Take care.

Sending positive thoughts your way. I hope you get to see your friend, and get him to smile

Feel all our positive energy beind your car as it carries you (at normal temperature) to the guy who might just warm things up nicely! The fates are not so sadistic as to deny you that pleasure.

Sending you multo-vibes!

Ah geez. If you have an older car, it may make more sense in fuel economy and lack of stress alone to just rent a car. Most places have great weekend specials. Check it out online tonight so you do have possible back-up options not pointless worry. Even if its a no go on the weekend for any reason, you're still doing SOMEthing productive with that stress TODAY.

My fingers are crossed for you doll.

Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character.

Dont call honey, do it online. They give rack rates only by phone. Do a Ywho or expedia etc online search. You get the better specials that way(usually).

You can even book it 'just in case', BUT make sure you check their cancellation policy first and then if necessary, watch the clock to cancel BEFORE that time if you dont need it.

Hey great news on the car! Now focus on what lies ahead after that weekend drive (and how wonderfully rough and painful the ride home will be on your hopefully sore body!)
