That sounds like a real treat. A shame your new friend had to duck out (Did you enjoy the "Mentor" role?) but really good for you to get back into the local scene a bit.

Are you going again?

Wish I could come shopping with you! That would be lots of fun!

Good for you . It sounded like a lovely time to spend some time.

In the past few days I have come to realise how inexperienced, and perhaps naive, I still am (referring to my sub drop and that I had thought I would no longer get one, feeling as if it was a personal failure of some sort to experience such and not putting any effort in aftercare). I have never been to a munch or party. There was a stage I was contemplating going but that was a while ago. My Dom isn't keen on either. For us it has been about exploring the beautiful world of BDSM in the privacy of our own bubble (as I call it).

Perhaps one day I should go to a munch. I am the type of person that I could easily go by myself. I get an impression that people are respectable in general and don't have any hidden agendas (as in trying to vigorously pull) (?)

I would love to hear more when you go again. And thank you again for your supportive words yesterday.

Bargee, have you been to any munches? I believe we might live fairly near each other (I am in NW London). When I was looking at munches about a year ago I saw there is something going on in Camden. I haven't ventured out yet, so I am not really 'from the scene'. I was also looking at Killing Kittens parties but my Dom isn't keen at all and to be fair I wouldn't want to go without him.

Good for you, tsarah..some times, W/we all need that escape, that reminder of what W/We are and where W/we belong. Glad you allowed yourself the extra time!

I echo everyone else's sentiments. When we do things for others, we often reap unexpected rewards for ourselves. Plus, karma points for you!

Mmm! And then the shop next door; you know, the one with ropes and clamps and spanking paddles and remote controlled vibrators...!
