I promise myself not to let any one put me down. Not from misconception, insecurity, assumptions, insults (real or Imagined), and listen to the ramblings of those who would trust in a liars word and then place blame as if gospel.

I promise myself to not give in to quilt trips, demands of any asshole who wants to control, spy on me, lie to me, or monopolize my time.

I promise myself not to play 50 questions, explain myself or my actions ( as they are mostly pure and definitely honest) to anyone who feels like they have the right to know, wanting explanations they don’t deserve. I promise not to apologize, I also Promise myself to let them find out the hard way. For silence is Golden.

I promise myself to hold to my word, help my friends in all ways I can, honor them and not take advantage and appreciate every thing any/all have done for me, and to return the favors as soon as possible

I promise myself that I hold no allegiance to any one man or boy, nor answer to any one man or person (save for common courtesy for true friends), for I promise myself to live my life to the fullest possible where, when, how, and with whom I please.

Lastly I promise myself that if any of them take offence, my give a damn is definitely broken!

Is the true declaration of independence of your id and the final assention to self respect with dignity and the understanding with a true clear vision of the road ahead. Unfortunately many of us desire it few achieve it. The clear recognition alone is the first true step on the road of clarity and understanding of You. One has a duty to oneself to always maintain a dignified respect of the self for at the end of the day we should matter in the very least to ourselves.Hold your head up high my dear for you were able to show one and all that no one will tremple on your soul yet again..what a wonderful vision..

wonderful thoughts complosed and shared. thankYou Miss. with a little tweaking...and in a change of POV... Your promises would hold true for this boy as well... tho i am not sure i could have articulated them as well as You.
