ql Another wonderful post! As much as I might disagree with certain books, eg Mein Kampf, I believe in Free Speech too! Perhaps, like movies, some books could be classified too? when I was a PTA momma back in the day, I organized plenty of bookfairs for the students. Least 10 years ago. Cap't Underpants was the hottest seller, mostly for the boys as I recall. My thought was at least they are eager to read, and the books created some kind of bond. who had which addition that sort of thing. My own sons bought them too. 10 years or so later and its under some scrutiny, that I just don't get. 50 Shades of Gray is in the Guinness Book of Records as the most popular book that has never been finished. It should be on the list. I wonder what you will tell your daughter if she found a copy of Screw the Roses Bring me the Thorns in your library? P.S. The Harry Potter series was on the list for years. Today's millennials are now avid readers because of those books.
