I have often found that these unexpected path changes have some really wonderful outcomes. Sorry about the illness, but without the stress of a job where you were unappreciated, it's possible you will start feeling much better.
hugs and positive energy to you.....cyn

And the physician that gave you a diagnosis did not educate you on how to cope and what to expect? Type 2 or type1? Each has a different manner of treatment. Does he (of course a female Doctor would have covered this) have any recommendations to help curb your desire for sweets? Other than you being sweet yourself how has he recommended to you resources. Passing out is usually due to low sugar and can be life threatening. Many can have a breath odor that indicates the disease or drug disfunction. Type 2 can be controlled with diet. That you were an adult when it happened suggests Type 2. There are other hormonal changes that can mimic diabetes. Get the sugar under control and your headaches may go away. High sugar can cause elevated pressure on your brain and thus headaches. I blather. I enjoy reading your bog and am concerned about your health.

Mulch for the flower bed. Helps to keep the weeds down and lets the flowers grow. Straw bails are a good alternative as they allow us old folks to enjoy without bending over.

The blackest lie is a partial truth that leads you to the wrong conclusion.

Sorry for all the bad stuff. The fact that you've gotten training for a new career is a testament to your spirit. But as Brentvance said, what a loss to the teaching world.

Stay for a while this time. You were missed.

I find it incredible that your offer of drug testing was refused! I am delighted they got their come-uppance but sad you have diabetes!

I have missed you and hope things go well now...

It's great to see you around
though most of this post is far from good news.
Sooo sorry for the dogs. I know it's hard to watch them get old.
Diabetis ..... you'll learn to live with it.
I know you loved teaching, but it also wore you out.
Finding something new can be a good thing for you in the end.
JD and Sir are still a part of your life .....that's great news.
Hope you'll be back soon!
I still miss your regular posts, hugs, B

I'm sorry that this has happened to you I know how much being a teacher meant to you. When did teachers become the enemy? The most important job that anyone can do and suddenly we are vilifying them as greedy and self serving. I surprised that students and parents didn't come to your defense. Again I am so so sorry you deserve better.

Hey, just sent you a happy hello, didn't realize you'd been through quite a spell (next time, I'll blog read first, haha). Miss you and JD! May not see you again anytime soon, my nephew was in a horrible carwreck, and my brother got canned at work... I ended up helping them relocate back out here to Calif. Still, one never knows... keep up your awesome spirit, condolences on the job as well as the pets, and let's tawk later
