One of my kitties, Biggs, was diagnosed with hypothyroidism a little while back. Been jamming pills down his throat for a while, and that has seemed OK. He has gotten pretty bony, though, for a big ass cat that also was, formerly, a fat ass cat. The meds occasionally give him the poopies, he had a UTI for a bit there, but he's been OK and feistier as ever for the past 6 months or so. This morning though he didn't come when I went to feed them and that NEVER HAPPENS. Wedge was tucking in before I saw Biggs, tail fluffed, crouching, and not coming over. I went to give him his pills and his whiskers were all water draggled and his face was grimy, like he's stuck his head in the water bowl. I gave him his pills, but he still didn't eat. If that motherfucking bastard ass fuck dies on me I swear...I'll kill him.  Mollena

ahhhh Mollena, you should know, cats are like your kids only worse cuz they can't tell you what's wrong. I know, I have had cats all my life and would be lost without them. Here's hoping Biggs continues to live a happy and productive life. but, if you lose him, remember the times he made you smile. Peace.

Hugs you, been there with Al...going there with my mom's cat who is going to take the Big Nap this Friday after a losing bout with cancer. I wish you the best and send you hope.

Maybe the opilkls have made him overactive thyroid. He would be thin..has your vet checked a blood level lately? Good luck *hugs*

He is due for another check in the few weeks. He seems to be just fine again. Go figure!
