I voted to get rid of the yellow and black but I don't think it worked. ~If it would cause major problems then leave it be~ Having the dates back on recent posts on the front page (or any page) would be nice. So would having our blog comments show when we responded instead of keeping the last person who commented name left up. ~Kat~

If alt would count my votes, you would see that i voted for an update on the color scheme. my old eyes just have a hard time discerning the printed words sometimes.

I agree about the colors that hide each other purple on black, peach on yellow etc. But overall if Alt wants to do something worth while, get rid of the Agree/Disagree voting on comments. "Unreal" and proud of it!

I'm torn on colors.... it can be difficult to find a scheme that is easy to read and easy on the eyes. I would like (like Kat) the dates back on posts on the front or any page and most especially would like to see the 'who commented last' revert to including myself. That was an easy way to see that I had responded to comments. For newcomers and not so newcomers. Arm yourself with knowledge

Yes, update the color scheme. Too many try to get cute with color and end up with illegible text on the black background. I use parchment color background in my regular email. It softens the white background/black text a little but is text is still as legible as a white background.

For me, it's less about the website's colors and more about the clutter. The absence of a site map or index is also a problem. There are things I've never used because I don't know where they are. In blogs, it would be nice to have a more detailed help section, perhaps with a pop up window. One that offers a complete list of accepted fonts and colors. I think the black is almost expected now after years... would be shocked to log in and see something different - but would grow into it. I do agree there is a lot of additional things that could be moved... As George Carlin used to say about "Stuff" we all have too much stuff. The fact that the bickering and axe grinding has been reduced is a great relief...

After al these years looking at the black and yellow it's a staple on what ALT is so no need for the change. On the other hand the blog blocking sounds like it would be a recommended future by many. Nice to see some effort being put forth, on choice of changes Cheers,

The color scheme should be the least of anyone's worries. Folks can and regularly do go over the top with color,etc in their blogs. I like the black and yellow. I'd vote for doing something actually useful like allowing people to communicate at will or post links to information off site.Y'know, like they do every where else on the net?

Hello gorgeous  Until I read this poll I wasn't aware that the colours were yellow and black and I've been on alt for five years .. talk about unobservant!  totally agree with whoever said we should get rid of voting on the AL though!

i like the black and white/yellow thing and just ignore when someone sillily puts too dark a color on. Figure that is their (or my) problem of the moment. Regarding the voting. i like it! i miss it on other sites. Sometimes i just want to do a drive by read and want to agree without putting my same ole two cents in. Or disagree quickly like. heehee it is funny cause i am alllllllllllmost always agreeing with Ms Free, butttt not today. no biggie! ... tanks for asking, mystry
