Reading this blog, your bouncing all over the States; Charlotte, Chicago, not too long ago Portland. Flitting around like one of your fireflies or a hummingbird.

Went out with old musicians buddies tonight and got in after Midnight . Blues music. Tomorrow two bands.

Anyway, thinking of Hummingbirds the long version of this song seems like a good opening for the early morning hours of the holiday.

We had a massive thunderstorm here last night too. I tried to stay awake to watch it but the drifting state in bed took over. Chilled out days like your day off sound so blissful!

Do what the doc tells you. Later, you will really see that.

I think there was a post that vanished, or a different version of this post, but anyway I wanted to congratulate you on the work and mission successes. It is just fucking awesome.

I've always loved seeing well-crafted lyrics and poetry - and have wished that I was near as talented! "Ripple" is awesome in that respect, as are many others. I'm glad you enjoyed the show, but hope you wore the brace, even if it was cumbersome for you.

My doggie hasn't been quite as good as Jones - twice now, he's plowed into the bird netting that protects my blueberry bushes (that I planted last year) and I've had to rework everything, especially today. I was mowing the front lawn while he had free reign in the back. Yeah, big mistake

Ripple is one of my favorite Dead songs. That and Uncle John's Band but I like the Indigo Girls version better. Sidenote: I once had a panic attack and the one and only Dead show I went to. Too many people. And coming down with the chemical blues from the night before contraband. I stick to small venues now.

No olives and artichokes. At least I finally found where we differ...
