surprise

Oh Dear!

What can I say?

One can only wonder if the models on the box are real people

A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. George Bernard Shaw

Just knowing what I know about advertising and photography, I'm willing to bet the model on the box had a thousand-dollar-a-visit hair stylist apply the box coloring and then either added additional products or some artfully done Photoshop effects to create a color you couldn't replicate no matter what you did.

It's only considered false advertising if they don't use the product at all. When you see an ad for Butterball where the turkey is cooked to a perfect golden...think again...they never baked the bird...they painted it varnish, no joke!

As for the new color, at least you can now test out the theory that blondes have more fun. I had an ex-girlfriend who went from blonde to auburn, and she swore up and down that people she had worked with for years started taking her more seriously and treating her like she was smarter. Maybe she was just imagining it...but she never went back to her natural (or her unnatural!) blonde again, as far as I know.

Damn, I wish I could remember the site now. About a month or so ago, I was reading something, or maybe it was on a TV show, that was talking about this online company that will mix a color for you and send it. They were supposed to be inexpensive with good quality and the new bane of salons existances. Hmmm, now I am going to have to see if I can find some info on it for you... Might be worth a try.

I love L'Oreal, but have had little luck with other brands.
