I've enjoyed reading the varied responses to the question.
Nice to see I am not the only one in the "It depends" category.

Hi Surprise!

Right off th bat, this:

"In my experience women who are young and/or inexperienced and/or very needy do tend to trust men quicker and easier than they do other women. They WANT to trust men quicker, so it happens. I think trust is something you give to someone else. If you want to give it, it will easily flow forth.

I think youth and the lack of experience in getting screwed over makes people of both genders more likely to trust sooner and deeper than someone older and more wise ..."

snatched my attention, and then this,

For me, when I dole out my trust, it's not at all related to a person's gender. I go with my gut instincts and the person's actions and words. Generally, this process has served me well over many years. I believe that people of both sexes, who are mature and mentally healthy, will make trust decisions similarly.
cemented my intrigue.

I only wish I cold have had the foresight to have included this [when I dole out my trust, it's not at all related to a person's gender. I go with my gut instincts and the person's actions and words.] wording in my question.

Well done; and I appreciate that you were willing to join in and share.

Regards To Your Other,

Nodding...
It unquestionably is dependent, IM...it's my fault that - in the wording - I failed to clarify that as many inferred, 'gender trust' as I intended to pose in this question is Within the realm of 'general trust...

as in,
within a person's individualized, un-ubiquitous criteria of trust, "is there a preponderance of either gender that an individual tends trusts easier, within their individualized experience or in their feeling?"

In other words, who we trust and why DOES usually depend ~ just ~ in your circumstances, depending on who you've interacted with , does one gender rack up a 'winning' subjective score of being easier to trust for women?

Not empirical research or proof or truth - just a personal experience along with their belief in trust in general.
(Deep Breath!!)

I think that with my ham-fisted wording aside, it still worked out well for the most part...people pointed out that 'it depends' routinely.
