I get attention and warmth all over the place. I HATE Winnipeg. Mean people over all, and if they are nice, they are super nice.

    Quoting  :

Well, I doubt it was you, I was there in June 2004 for a conference.
LOL.

I hate the city..to many beggars, black flies, crime, and general ickiness.
I made the grave error of staying at a HOJO by the airport. Yep, full of drunkards and beggars.

I go downtown for Sunday mass to find some solace in such a cold and mean city (summer humid ickiness), and mass was a bit of a joke, not due the priest, but the congregation. Uncouth and unclean.

I got punched in the back while waiting for the bus..I turn around ready to rain my weak punches on someone, or actually more acurately, words and this Native guy smiles and asks for money. I chewed him out all he had to do is tap my shoulder not punch me on the back you asswipe. He apologises profusely and said sorry.

To be honest..the Natives were friendly, as for the rest of the general population save one bus driver and one saleslady, they can go fuck themselves.

Here is the example of inefficiency. I was called on the last minute to be secretary for a physics meeting at seven a.m. My hotel was from the downtown core. But fine, I will do it. I get there at quarter to seven in the morning, nothing is set up, I wait for a bit, go into the hotel kitchen, make coffee, put out dishes and cutlery, pour juices, warm up muffins in the fridge, and cutting up the fruit. The staff walks in ten minutes after seven, after the meeting has started. I reem them out for one of them started to tell me it was not my job to do that. I told him off that he should be at work on time and not be so lazy. He shrunk back.

My boss was beaming at me pleased.

YIkes..i know long story..did I mention I HATE Winnipeg.
