Did you ever wonder...

How the United States of America can claim to be the premier military force in the world today when after training two, not one but two, national armies for two middle east countries for more than ten years these national armies can't defended their own countries. I mean after teaching these armies everything the US knows, providing the latest weapons, which far exceed the weapons of their adversaries, and building force that are populated with several hundred thousands men (more men than their adversaries combined ) these armies run at their first really test.

If you do wonder then you must still be wondering how long will it take to "train" these national armies before they can defend their own country without US boots on the ground/a US presence. Then you might wonder if this is the result of ten years of training by the US should you let your join the US military and be trained so poorly when their life is dependent on that training.

The US maintains a standing Army far in excess of the need to defend the borders of the homeland today. And one reason that is given by the Department of Defense and Congress is to have a trained force that is ready. Yet both World War I and II was won with a small cadre of professional soldiers who took drafted man and trained them and won those wars in less than 5 years. Wars that were much larger and difficult than the "police actions" of today.

I just wonder if we are doing the United States or the service members justice by staying in foreign countries. I know the countries like the billions of dollars (the war economy) that the US pours into their economies.

Are the sacrifices making the world or US safer?!
