Maybe they were on sale, buy 1 get 3 free..who could possibly resist?
Please excuse my lack of car knowledge, but what model car is that anyway?

Quoting ralph696969: well, ok, I feel stupid but, what am I missing?
The AquaMan inspired, seawater colored, pastel on a muscle car, replacement wheels?

Bing!
Exactly. There were multiple choices rejected until this was decided upon. How ... ... would anyone think ... ... to do that?

(hi lil one ... )
The photo doesn't show that the paint/finish is already fading in random sections of the wheel. If you saw this on a "first date", would it eliminate the driver from further consideration?

The Borg Wheel: Resistance is futile.
It is a Dodge Charger (4 door version of The Challenger).

You're not suggesting, are you, that there is a fleet of these cars driving around in my area with those wheels on them? Oh please, let it never be so.

Quoting ralph696969: ah, this is what having difficulty with colors will cause, I see a cool car, no clue the color rims
Didn't know about your color situation. Imagine almost Bermuda aqua colored water -- that's the color of the rims -- on a white muscle car.

You just described the entire entertainment industry. And I entirely agree with your theorem.

Quoting Xrorted: I don't get 4 doors either.
In the classic muscle car race with the Mustang and the Camaro, The Challenger was always the one with the longer wheelbase, so from a production efficiency perspective, it made sense to 4-door it. It is odd, though: there are times I can't even keep the names (Challenger/Charger) straight. But The Challenger definitely has a large fanclub.

Quoting Xrorted: I remember the charger by chrysler. Worth a lot these days if you can find a good one. They were popular here in Australia because they were easy to start and had a duel clutch and electronic ignition and hemispherical head enabling bigger valves than the Fords of the time. The 265 was the prefered motor. Wish I had one now.
Yes, here in the states that type of block - unique to Chrysler at the moment - is simply called the HEMI (pronounced hem' eee). It causes much drooling here.

*throws up a little in my mouth* FFS why???
Sighs. No telling for taste and to that person it looks awesome. To me it just doesn't compute but hey...I'm a traditionalist when it comes to hot rods...factory colors (except gunmetal grey....I'll pay for that!) and non factory bad ass engines.

"FFS why???"
Bing!
Exactly. Why? How? In what universe? Do a -g- search with the string "Wrangler Rubicon X Anvil". You will like. Lots and lots.

Excellent. Yes, thank God it's not the Challenger. Would the universe cease to exist if someone put those wheels on a car with a HEMI in it? Let us not contemplate such things.
