what's you opinion on crowd sourcing? Has it gone too far?

On the radio the other day they had a discussion about crowd sourcing sites like kickstarter.

I guess you can literally ask people for money for ANYTHING on some of these sites.

Need a new car..just ask...need an around the world vacation..just ask....need to go to disney world...just ask...( ofcourse this doesn't mean people will actually give you money...but people did donate to that dumb ass woman that used all her rent money to buy lottery tickets a few months ago)

I mean all crowd sourcing sites aren't bad...it's always cool to help people in need.. it's nice to help make a dream come true.

Hell this one company make a crowd sourcing site for those that want to donate so happy couples can actually go on a honeymoon.

But this same company has now created a site for those that want to help pay for someone's divorce!!! I guess divorce is the new marriage..people are actually having divorce parties

Has this gone too far? have you ever given to one of these site?

I know little about the crowd sourcing sites so I really can't debate the issue...
True, some of humanity is going to hell in a hand basket it seems... If this is a sample of 'balance', I think it sucks...

I no longer contribute to structured charity organizations because some of their CEO's make in excess of seven figures a years... Personally, I dislike being 'bilked'... I do give willingly to those in serious need in the town I live... There's no way I can make everyone's wish come true or help the world...
However, If I can help a family keep a roof over their head while the main supporter seeks work, clothe a child, fix a meal and check on an elderly neighbor, or just offer an understanding ear sometimes, it kinda makes life worthwhile...

IT ONLY TAKES A DROP OF INK TO OFFER FODDER FOR ONE TO THINK................Jo
