Oh fuck Dorthy I think we're in kansas look at that twister

well I should preface this by saying I don't "live" in kansas ( thank God for that)..

Kansas city is actually divided between two states ( kansas and missouri).. I just happen to live on the missouri side.

Anyway this past week we've gotten rain storms from hell...heavy and shooting quarter sized hail at us. I'm talking the type of rains that measure like 3-5 inches each time.

The twister that touched down in dodge city kansas a few days ago( yes that is an actual town and not something just made up for the western movies) was described as "cartoonish"

The twister looked like something out of a movie/like it was freaking CGI... that is how intense it's base was. ( you probably can find footage of it on youtube)

So yesterday I was out driving and off went the tornado sirens....people were phoning into the radio station to warn the audience. People were reporting seeing rotation ( which is the starting of a tornado)...

Now lucky for me I personally didn't witness any of this...but the storms path was headed basically for my house. Weatherby lake ( which is just north of me) reported seeing rotation and the sky went freaking green. They got pelted with golf ball sized hail.

Lucky for kc no tornado touched down... but the season is still young and apparently very active..
