why not trump?

Then if not trump ... then why not a trump like person in any political office?

I think trump is gaining some approval because he is doing things that the american public has been clamoring for year!.

Why can't we retain american jobs? Sure no doubt that carrier deal is all and pony... but I mean in a general sense..why does america just shrug it's shoulders and just accept that china is doing all the manufacturing for our goods.
Why is the US subjected to these "up the ass without any lube" trade deals?

Why can't we trim the budget? it was leaked that the pentagon has this secret billion dollar budget that they tried to hide.
Like most things..if you don't use the funds ,then the company is likely to take it away from your division the next year.
Do we really need another f-15 or tank this year?

Yet when any talks of cutting a budget come around, these lawmakers deliberately cut the one thing that will get the biggest outcry ( education/women's reproductive benefits/social security etc)...
Immediately these programs are put back in. and talks of budget cutting fade

Why can't we just trim the fat a bit? Start with a 5 percent reduction all around.

Why can't we enforce border security without being defined as "racist"?

I'm not suggesting trump is the answer... but america needs to stop being such a bitch to the rest of the world...sure all these NAFTA sorta bs deals got huge payoffs for the politicians etc.

BUT it is time to reexamine these "deals"...

Not saying that you have to luv or even support Trump/... BUT perhaps you can get behind the idea that someone has to make a change.

At least he is willing to challenge the status quo with countries like china.. cause it seems like we are on the loosing end of all these deals

    Quoting  :

Not gonna happen. The politicians love the campaign donations and perks the lobby folks provide. The main reason they want to cut the health care bill, is to get the three to four billion in lobby money flowing again, which was spent by the drug companies, insurance industry and the health care maintenance companies to get what they wanted out of Obama Care.......guaranteed profits and limited liability. They will change Obama Care.......only to replace it with something similar. Carrier and Boeing is grandstanding. .........is just that. Tax restructuring, will favor the rich and corporations. I am skeptical of the total lot of elected officials in Washington.

To put it in simple terms, Trump is going to give this country what it by has needed for 40 years a political ENEMA , flush out the corrupt politicians. Our country needs a Trump enema.😁

DancingDom.. agreed. I didn't even have time to get the words "I told you so" out of my mouth.

I've been in private business for years and I'm starting another in 2017. I got news for you folks, the government didn't have a damn thing to do with it. Not Bush, not Obama and not Trump. I did it. My colleagues did it. Those who think Trump is going to do a anything for America other than concentrate dissent on the coasts and religious power in the flyover country is fooling themselves. I wish it were about the economy, but right now Trump, despite having won the election, is even angrier and more bitter than ever! WTF?! Yeah, go ahead, make my economy. But if you stand there as president, pissing your pants in a twitter angergasm, you lose the support of people who are rational, logical and aren't motivated by anger. I get that you've had it with Washington, and if Obama ruined your life, hate him. Hate him with a passion. I would.. but he didn't and there is a minority of us out there who simply put our noses to the grindstone and carried on the business of this country despite the whining.. and we succeeded.

Ironic that the people that bitch the most about government control are the first to line up hoping the government will do something for them. If you haven't been successful during the Obama admin. then YOU failed, not the government. I swear at this point we could elect Cookie Monster and the people that will succeed will succeed and the peopled that can't, won't.

On the other hand, I could be being just a little harsh and quick to judge. Perhaps they're right.. maybe Trump can give them that "leg up" they've been looking for.

Hope they brought an umbrella

Because Trump doesn't have a clue.

Big trade agreements have almost nothing (13% to be exact) to do with manufacturing job loss. America makes twice as many manufactured goods as it did thirty years ago. It just does it with far fewer people because of automation and technology. I stood in a steel mill in Japan 40 years ago with a delegation of US steel union reps and looked down at a fully functioning steel mill that had only two workers visible from the overhead walkway. Six guys were in the control room. Same with auto plants. Robots everywhere. Soon the US started building plants like that. When both Hillary and Trump agree on something, like Trade Agreements, , you should know the truth lies in another direction.

The jobs we lost to developing countries, like China, were low-skill assembly-line manufacturing jobs like textiles and hand tools and basic assembly lines that have been migrating to low-wage areas since the Civil War.

Now China is losing low-skill industries to Viet Nam. Soon Viet Nam will lose them to Burma or Bangla Desh. Meanwhile, China is doing what we and the Europeans did a hundred years ago when our cities were choking in the pollution of horse manure. We started building cars. The Chinese are building renewable-energy industries, because their cities are choking on polluted air. Most people don't know that, because they don't read. Remind you of anybody who just got elected president or somebody who didn't get elected, but saw an anti-Trade Agreement parade and tried to get in front of it?

Our problem is not Trade Agreements. It's that we don't know how to retrain people who worked in manufacturing sectors to do better-paying, higher-skilled jobs and they don't want to be retrained or can't move to where jobs are because they bought their houses they couldn't afford with easy money just before the bubble burst in 2008 and now they can't sell. So what is the logical solution? What else? Get mad and vote the government out of office, not because it will change anything, but because you can't change anything and that pisses you off.

I don't care if Trump gets a chance or not, because I know he can't solve anything unless he does a 180 degree turn. My stock profits have tripled since he got elected. I'll be fine, along with his rich pals who live off of stock earnings. Meanwhile the poor schmuck who voted for him is going to get screwed, because Trump's going to produce more of the pollution-free energy of the future: coal.

Is this a great country, or what?
