The color, kinda depends on your mood and the post...blue...thoughtful, red-passionate, white...innocent, etc...grab a color wheel, and just make sure to use opposite colors for the background and narrative.

I would say the depending on what the background is. You need a color they can read (good contrast) like white text on a black background. You do want them too get your point?

Your blue blurs a bot for me with brightness, but then I don't have great eyesight.
