Gore frightens and amuses me in equal measure.

I've met interesting Goreans but the interest is the interest of "different but equal", sort of. I mean, what can you say about it? Sure, there are Goreans out there, but I don't get them.

There are enough people with no imagination in D/s as it is ("Oh, the flogger again...oh no...must...not fall asleep again..."). What do you say about people whose whole experience is governed by a handbook?

What do you say about people who are essentially "sexual Trekkies"—folks who belong to an esoteric community that you enter by mastering a fictional information set that you can read your way into in half an hour from internet sources?

Of course, on our side, there are people who read The Story of O and managed to stay awake through something that is only saved by the language—we "normal" practitioners never complain about cruel men, and costumes and slavery from the silk cushion school when we hear about it.

I already know what you say when one of them walks up to you and informs you that he considers it the structural cornerstone of his psychosis

Apologies to all the great Goreans out there. Some of you do it well.

Just my two cents after your wonderful comment on my blog.

Next time you get a note from that guy, tell him your master defends the hearthstone like a man possessed.

I'd write more but I'm going to be examined today for red silks in dance and in esoteric methods of providing pleasure and I need my rest.

You too......?
Seems that some go fishing way to far from home these days.

A woman cannot help who it is she finds strong enough to compel her to drop to her knees....no more than she can help not feeling the compulsion to do so for others.

I think Gor really is like Dungeons and Dragons...more of a mind play game rather than a lifestyle. And just like D&D in it's prime, people made it real so they could master something. I know of Goreans..I've seen the society at it's worst...nothing but nothing could entice me to play that game. On the other hand, there are women out there that go to Gorean camps for a weekend of play, enjoy the hell out of themselves, and then go home. More power to you.

Like you, I'm just not one of them. I tend to start laughing and then well..they get all sorts of pissed off and then I laugh harder....

You do.get some very funny offers! It's a bit disturbing and absolute comedy gold. Spike and yourself should go on a gore adventure. It will be a bit.shit and.arduous, well for you two. Us bloggers will be howling laughing though!

The opinions and understanding portrayed in my blog are mainly unfounded, misguided or wrong.

Sometimes, I think the land of Gor is located where a person place their head just past the anal sphincter.

I feel pity for these people. Calling themselves dominant, whether they are Gor, or whatever stripe they wish to associate themselves with, and think it gives them free license to treat peoplewho identify as submissive to be rude, crude, and foolish.

Whilst it is entertaining to read some fiction, people do not actually understand those Gor books. I have read them a few times. Not my cuppa tea, but to each their own. The problem is when it is used to justify boorish behaviour.

As for me, i have to deal with the boors on blogs that if i am not kissing their arse for not agreeing or questioning them..then i am a bitch. Well, well, well...do much for leadership.

I like the title of your post the most.

I wish to say it is regrettable you had to deal with this. I feel there are many others who fall into the same category, and the proper way to handle this is by identifying the cause. I call it acute self medicating syndrome, or A.S.S. for a better word. I feel in this day one only needs to find the proper medical professionals to help deal with this ailment, and follow proper dosage. That way the A.S.S. afflicted ass will then become less of a ass
