Back in my day, we didn't have competitions. If there had been one I would have found out by smoke signal. We didn't have those fancy "Telegrams" yet.

But all that aside I think I more than qualify and maybe win by default.

I remember when the the 60's and 70's WERE the future.

I remember when there wasn't even the band that Yoko broko.

I remember dying my gray hair as a happy distant memory.

I remember a time when incontinence products hadn't even been invented yet.

I remember when Wham-O invented the Frisbee and the Superball. And Silly Putty was new. In fact, almost every "classic" toy or game was fairly new. and Daisy beebee guns were not just found in The Christmas Story movie.

I remember when houses in my neighborhood went for around $10,000 for 3 bedrooms and a quarter to a third acre. And you could leave the doors unlocked. And Sundays everything was closed except Churches, pharmacies, a deli and some bakeries. And.... There were farms and people would ride horses right along the road on a quiet Sunday.

I remember bakeries! Places where people were able to take pride and make a living selling wonderful products fresh each day made from real raw ingredients.

In fact all food in eateries was REAL food!

I remember Dunkin Donuts having GREAT handmade donuts 24/7 in large varieties.

Neighbors who knew each others names and sometimes cared and helped each other. Along with some gossip

And I know we still have a ways to go, but I remember when it was much worse for minority races, women and gay people and when were just beginning to fight against it.

I remember the fear of the Cold War and the nuclear threat. And being a part of the generation that screamed for an end to war and move towards peace and love for each other and this planet.

And because "this is a sex site after all"(maybe the most quoted line on this site for good reasons):
I remember when pantyhose were invented. The skirts were getting shorter due to fashion and the way of attaching stockings to garters had to go as there were way too many mishaps with seeing a proper young ladies garters and even panties. This was a big no no back then so along came the revolutionary idea of stocking and underwear in one piece. Personally, puberty hit when the stockings in all their new textures and colors came along first with garters and then the stay-up thigh highs and pantyhose. So to this day I have this fetish and remember fondly of girls being sexually interesting and at the same time accidentally glimpsing the taboo too much leg.

Also I remember when d/s was more generally and inaccurately known as B&D or S&M leaving many gaps as to interpretation. And there was very little in the way one could find someone with similar deviant callings. I remember when one would have to place coded ads in the personals sections of papers. not even regular papers but softcore porn style ones. I.E. " looking to watch TV" meant transvestite. "I speak fluent....." meant what you were into. "English" = discipline, "French" = oral. "Greek" = anal etc.

I could go on and on with the many things from the past that I remember. But then I just remembered that old people go on and on for too long so I better stop myself.

Now If I could just remember if I let the dog out.
Wait, do I even own a dog?
