I have been banned by someone, a new blog I was keeping an eyes on to see if it developed. Left a few comments that I thought were encouraging. Anyway, suddenly I get an offensive email (disparriaging my sexual prowess and making rude remarks about my tiny penis (How did she know???) ) and telling me I was banned! I'm with Mixztrixz; it's the dialogue that makes it worth blogging, why close a voice down just because it's not in tune with yours? A discussion where there is no new viewpoint suggested is a bit anodyne.

I have been wondering about this too. But I think it should be taken as a compliment if our post is so thought provoking that someone else gets inspired to write more. Isn't that what we are here for, get responses to our views? Perhaps both parties can learn and further develop their ideas. Of course we don't always agree but that is part of the beauty too. I personally do try to mention the name of the person who inspired me to write or I actually write on their blog (rather enthusiastically) that I will make a post of my own (in a similar way as you reference everything when you are writing anything academically). Or do some people think that they can copyright their blogs and opinions 😜 And good morning to Yorkshire. Enjoy your bank holiday weekend.
