I'm with you. I can't say I've really thought about the whole "end of the world as we know it" but living here in FL I've learned all too well to be a prepper. We just experienced one of the strongest hurricanes we've had in many years.......I was prepared.

Had a good giggle at the corny line (and it's still running round my head)
Agree with the need to be prepared though and probably should look into it myself

Well, someone else that thinks like I do. Good for you. Too bad there aren't more of us. I wish I was as well prepared as you. Sounds like you have a good handle on it. Keep up the way you are doing, and when bad times come, you will better prepared than most.

I wish you were wrong, I still pretend it's all going to be absolutely fine or go nuclear, so either way it doesn't really matter!

The opinions and understanding portrayed in my blog are mainly unfounded, misguided or wrong.

I suppose this is where it becomes handy to have secondary stocks. I never run out of things as I always have a spare one in a cupboard and when I take that to use I put a new one on a shopping list. For example I always have a minimum of six cartons of apple juice but usually more like 12. I love chickpeas in a tin and having less than six cans would make me panic etc etc.

I also have small bottles of water when I need to rush out but a good idea to buy some big ones just in case.

Let's hope we'll all be safe. What annoys me about my native land is that they are so vocal about the immigration crisis in Europe and have sent most of them back but they actually live next door to such a powerful country which is known to be unstable... I truly hope nothing will happen but they should be a little more understanding knowing our own fairly recent history of evacuees. I hope karma never bites them back. I don't claim to have any solutions for the immigration crisis as it sucks but a little compassion can go long way...

I've tried to tell my father invest in foreign companies also but he's too patriotic but all you need is for your home country to have a crisis and all that money you made will be worth peanuts. Just ask Syrians.

I normally have plenty of food in the cupboard and it certainly came in handy recently when my fridge freezer died !!
Not much water though.

But i have to say, i do like Bargee's suggestion . . . what a way to go
