This MREtosome guy sounds like he knows what he's talking about.

I would add: Why not? Why not be up at that hour, this hour, any hour? As for cooking and decorating, why not? Why not cook and decorate just for you? You deserve a nice meal, lights and colorful sights -don't you? Do it for YOU!
You will never be who you were. Things happened, those things changed you -no, not at your core, just your mind, heart, senses and reflexes. Some will come back around again, others will grow and expand to new and higher limits.

Get as much sleep as you can. Besides food, it is the most important thing a weary soul needs
I came here to wish you a wisecrack about, "I wonder" guess it wouldn't be right not to leave it now. So here it is: Don't wonder too far from home!
Wish you well.

It's not easy doing the holidays by yourself. For the most part, I've been by myself over the holidays over the past 7 yrs. the only time I would cook would be for Christmas, when I would roast a prime rib and make Yorkshire pudding.

I've noticed that you're a night owl. I've been a night owl myself for many years, expect when I had to start work at 6am (and stay away until I've had my second cup of coffee LO. I would have stayed up longer yesterday, but alt said you were no longer online around 2am.
