How poignant your post is. I envy those who have found enriching love, having given of themselves, and I think of those who gave of themselves, and those who used it, discarded it, never fully appreciated its value.

I wonder if we become wiser with age, never to believe in the fairytale again, or if a small part of us still wishes for the fairytale, but too worn out and tired and sensible to see it actually coming into fruition.

I am working on choosing happy and joy, despite the difficulties, it is about self perservation, and a kind outlook on myself and others.

Isn't it true that we genuinely believe that there will never be another ONE? But, As Ms Surpriseme says, not only is it possible, it might even be beneficial. The probl;em, always, is that space between what was and what might be. The real skill, (and one perhaps that I didn't master for years) is to recognise the space between those two as a necessary space.

I am confident that I will be reading a whole new wave of posts right here about how something new might have started to happen and later how, not only has it happened but it is more amazing than ever...

Maybe not yet, because you are wise enough to allow that space. But there is a fire in you that needs fuel; and when the fuel bringer arrives, your beacon will shine.
