I think the Indiana law and the other like it circumvent the Constitution under the guise of religious freedom. Freedom from what? They are fear mongering on a semi legals religious level. church and State should stay separate. What religion has always been the crux for any government. Merry Old England had issues iwth it with Henry.

Hist0orically in the Ancient World, the Church and State were one. The concept of nations iwth various sects living within its borders is really fairly modern. As radical as Jesus who preached that. It was heretical. Was it wrong....no I think it is as it should be in the modern world; church separated from state and no religions given the sanction to dictate its rules on those not subscribing to that religion.

BTW, tonsils harbor the mononucleosis virus aka the kissing disease. Folks with recurring mono should have tonsils and adenoids removed.

It's just pure sophistry. This law is basically the teach-Creationism-in-schools crowd getting petty revenge because they failed.

It does make me chuckle, though, when people in the US describe themselves as the "leaders of the free world" when the rest of the developed world is laughing at the "freedoms" actually enjoyed by its inhabitants; while everybody else is moving forward and trying to guarantee a life free of discrimination for everybody in a personal sense, the US seems to be devolving back to tribalism and "my god's better than your god". That may or may not be true, but that's how it looks to the rest of the world.

Somebody really ought to sort that shit out.
