That's great! Succeeding after many failures is such a rush.

I can relate 1,000% to v's story.

Yeah? And how's that?

IN USMC boot camp, we had to climb a suspended rope after chow each evening.

And you couldn't do it?

No. Failure after failure after failure...... I made incremental progress, but I couldn't climb that fucking rope.

And then?

And then one evening, maybe after a month, I climbed to the top with no problem whatsoever. It was like I'd been doing it all My life.

Was it a rush?

I could barely contain Myself. I ran to the nearest Drill Instructor and boasted, "Sir, The Private climbed the rope!".

'The Private'?

Yeah, we were required to always refer to ourselves in the third person.

Well, congratulations The Private.

Fuck you. We should be congratulating v.

Congratulations v! The Private knows how you felt.

The Private is about to kick your ass motherfucker. And yes v, congratulations!!

Motherfucker? Fuck you!

No, fuck you!

Outstanding~

Anyone that's ever tried and failed, and then at last, succeeds, can relate with you, is proud of you.

And your final sentence seems pro-damn-found to me...delayed gratification while trying to persist (in whatEVER) can de sooo difficult to endure, can't it?

It's beautiful when that happens.
