Dear Mammy... There are few things in this life that will make an individual feel about as big as an ant - Mother Nature usually holds all the Aces in this particular game There isn't anything which that fantastically strict mistress loves more than to remind the tiny bipedal bald apes just exactly where they stand in the greater scheme of things - Most of the time these sorts of decisions result in disasters, in catastrophes where thousands are lost either to the arms of Hermes or to themselves entirely. Then there are those more subtle reminders that she gives from time to time - A sudden downpour, the sky vibrating with a distinctive bone rattling boom, rainbows revealing the inner beauty of light or the sudden slashes across the sky illuminating a constant vibrant vengeance and sometimes, just sometimes, she throws someone into an individuals life who will act like one of these forces of nature rolled into one. People have the fantastic ability to utterly transform each others lives from the mundane to the beautiful, from the dull to the heart racing, from the painful to the pleasurable or from the pointless to the useful - It doesn't matter why these people come into each other's lives, all that matters is that when they do they always leave a lasting impression Their opinions, their laughter and their whispers will be like thunder to a night sky - There won't be an escape no matter what the intention Their touch, their kisses and their looks will cut through another like lightening in the night sky - Blindingly potent in captivating their desired audience and burning straight through them These moments when another individual in stunned to be in the presence of another are so intoxicatingly addictive that the two people end up feeding off each other for the next big rush - A rush that will take their hearts into their throats one more time |
