Cinders

In the dying embers of each and every fire there's a sense of rebirth - A small seed of life despite the fiercely destructive flames.

When a fire rips through a forest there is going to be a large section of humanity who will only ever see the bad - The burning trees, the deceased animals, the property damage and the price to fix.

These are the people who know the price of everything but they don't have the first clue about the value of anything. They can wax lyrical about the losses for a lifetime without the gains entering their minds once.

They don't see the blank slate the fire provides for new life to take a hold and flourish without the competition - The flora and fauna able to grow stronger and create a healthier system for everyone.

They don't see the room that's been made for more animals to make their homes in safer structures - To ensure a healthy life for their subsequent generations

All these people will ever see if the price to themselves - Explaining that something so seemingly desolate could indeed be Mother Nature's finest weapon would fall on deaf ears.

Explaining simply won't work because these people only understand based on their level of perception - Changing the level of perception in another person is a task that's as thankless as it is painful even if there should be a positive outcome.

Instead simply smile think of the Phoenix - Beauty and regrowth from pain and heartache no matter what level of perception someone has or hasn't.
