Sometimes I feel like I have an addiction to sex and I feel disconnected from people who don't share my intense feelings. I usually feel a bit awkward, however, trying loosen up at a cocktail party by having a little impromptu sex  (as much as the idea appeals to me  ).

Portugal is an interesting case... but, I would suggest that the number of recreational users greatly outweighs the number of addicts and, thus, the statistics we see only tell us a small amount of the story of drug use in Portugal... for example, the number of people who inject may have decreased, but one must wonder if they really has it right when one can find various powders and pills so easily, even over the counter of a bar....

These days I don't get to many of the "right kind" of cocktail party unless I'm the host. Hooking up at my parties is something of an adventure tho. I don't have real bedrooms. I have a loft with two sleeping areas but no doors and completely open to the great room on the main floor below. Not much privacy (unless you go down to the English basement or out to the bunkhouse), but then guests at those parties don't really expect privacy. There is also a railing (several, in fact) that you could rub your sweet little loins against to your heart's content if you'd like an invitation. [image]

If you like the danger of heights, you'll love the stroll on the swamp cyprus beams you can see in the photo. Very handy when I have to change the lightbulbs in the ceiling fan, though I may delegate that job in the future. The fall is just about enough to break an ankle if I land wrong, but not nearly enough to kill me.

Indeedy, the point is well-made. Portugal is a positive case that I hope the UK can learn from.
