So evocative of days I dearly miss. I don't know why, but the waxed paper cup reference really brought it all back. I often heard criticism about America's homogeneous culture, but sometimes I think one of our greatest strengths lies in the commonality of our experiences.

G ...... Vlasik?

The pickles?

Yeah, they advertised with a cartoon stork.

Might be the ones she's trying to remember.

And you could drink right from the garden hose.

Yeah, screw the bottled water!

How did we ever survive?

We weren't fucking paranoid about every freaking thing in the world.

Did we wish everyone a Happy 4th yet?

Happy 4th everyone!

You know, well a couple of things. One, memories of the past when life was so simplistic are true treasure. Two, my last true event where my family and I watched fireworks was when I was about 12. I remember using my straw to sneak a taste of a Calvert Canadian Whiskey from a guys cup. I hated it. Damn how things have change, well...

And three, I never had a really good pickle.

Soul

Lovely memories!

I hope your Day was great now too
