While I agree with you 100% that we need to take every possible measure to combat climate change by going "all-in" to develop renewable clean energy sources, I disagree on where the funding should come from.

NASA's budget has for years been less than 0.5% of the total federal budget...I think we should exponentially increase NASA's budget and take the funds you speak of from the most wasteful portion of the U.S. budget: the military (19. Human space exploration has done more to accelerate the advancement of technology—including green technologies—than any other human endeavor. It's positively amazing how many problems we can help on the ground by challenging ourselves to reach out into the cosmos.
