Miss Ann5... You nailed it so well... Like you, I prefer to chat live via phone later when my day is done and can offer full attention the one on the other end...
Sternmann, is correct... Vocal inflection is important for that personal touch...
Texting and IM's are OK for those little quick messages I guess... I've used both, but prefer that live voice...

I'm one that likes to hear that voice. Yes, I can be a slave to the text when I'm busy or at work......but there's nothing better than to hear that sigh or sharpness in ones voice over the phone.
