I totally agree. I still recall my young son crying because an educational opportunity was described that got him totally excited, and then, at the end, they said it's only for girls. I guess it's kind of like the black lives matter/ all lives matter debate. Yes, we can acknowledge that there is racism and sexism and it needs to change, but playing favorites with people because of past discrimination.. Well, yes, it is always going to leave some with a bad taste in their mouth. I'm not even saying I'm against quotas or Affirmative Action, but philosophically, I think ALL people deserve equal rights, regardless of gender, ethnicity or any other factor.

And, at the risk of being labeled anti- feminist..when I was younger I rejected the label because of strident feminists who bashed men and took themselves way too seriously. I just could not relate. I love men! I am definitely a humanist.

I do agree with your view on this matter. Men and women are not equal, we never will be and when we all can agree to that... things will be a little simpler.

Feminist movement has outlived its usefulness from my point of view. It has become more about assigning continual gender-related challenges to individual circumstances.

We need to be careful what we’re wishing/fighting for, there are sacrifices and a cost that come along with all this.
