While not logical,it would seem some, prefer the excitement of the chase and of making the connection, but not following thru from there.

I realize it is of no great solace to hear that, but unfortunately in this day and age, there are a lot of selfish people, only concerned with what makes them feel good in the moment.

I have taken the approach that my happiness cannot be dependent upon another(s) doing what I want them to do all the time. The real choice is how much of their doing contrary am I willing to allow/tolerate, as opposed to moving on.

If one has had the experience of children, they dont always do what their parents want them to do, but still we dont kick them out for that. But upon becoming adults there evolves increased accountability and maturity to be under mom or dads roof.

Actions have consequences, for all involved.

IMHO

as I mentioned before I can definitely relate to that it causes a lot of pain and anguish and you wonder what you did wrong I wonder if it is for some that since it went well they are scared shitless that if they keep persuing the relationship that they may get hurt and they don't want to take the chance

having those hopes and dreams crushed is such a horrible feeling.....it is so hard to give that trust to another......but.....life moves on with or without you. As you said, get back up, dust yourself off and live to love another day.....
