today's dilemma....

Well, my morning has started off a bit surprisingly. I thought the most difficult decision today would be whether or not to make tuna to go with my whole wheat bagel. For some reason, I've been having this craving for a few days. So, throwing caution to the wind, I mixed up the tuna with some green olives and mayo. Toasted the bagel, melted a slice of cheese, slathered on tuna and am in heaven! Since I'm on medications that make me a bit woozy, I've been watching my step a little more carefully these last few days. Tripping over a string on the carpet is painful, so I am on the constant lookout for them. Thank goodness! As I opened my door to go to the laundry room, I see a two foot deep hole in the place where my step was. *sigh* While I'm thrilled the complex management has decided to repair some of the major issues here, it would have been nice to have received notification of those repairs. I am so glad I didn't just step out the door without looking.... The last thing I need right now is to take a major fall! Now to my most recent dilemma for the day. I just received an e-mail from a member I've never corresponded with. Here's this gist of it: Date: Sep 25, 2007 5:22 AM EST Subject: For a fat woman, you sure talk a lot. Body of said e-mail: !! Now, I'm not one to use the Report Abuse button or send complaints to Alt about other people. In fact, I try very hard to reply to all e-mails I receive in a friendly manner. My initial reaction is to send him a response such as, "Thank you for your perspective. May you find exactly who you deserve in your search here." Another thought is to let Sir respond. But that just kind of feels wrong, as I'd prefer He not be distracted by insults of this nature. Of course, the bitch in my head is thinking of all kinds of nasty things to say. I'd rather not let her loose, as I don't want to let something so minor escalate. The final option is to just ignore this. What would you do? |

My first question is..........what does your size have to do with your talking? i never realized how many idiotic people there were before joining this site and getting some of these emails! Maybe if you ignore it, it will go away. ~jackie

Well halleluiah! I have tried no less than five times to post my comment, and kept getting the click here to listen instead of the antispam. Someone here once said (about dealing negative people) "Don't feed the bears." Ignore Ignore Ignore For newcomers and not so newcomers. Arm yourself with knowledge

OKJeff, thank you for giving me a rational answer!  That little devil on my shoulder has been egging me on all day to rip him a new one.... And welcome to my blog!Uniquejam, that was kind of what I was wondering? Fat girls are supposed to be quiet and just wait for some Dumbiant to come in and sweep us off our feet????? I think I will just ignore it for now.... 'Mama, I've been having problems RESPONDING! lol I'm glad it's not just me....

Well I remember that happeneing once only the complex replaces THREE of my stairs and never told me and I was trapped pretty much all day beacuse 2 of them were adjacent As for the other he replied "for me" a couple of times when some of the emails were beyond unresasonable. Ususally I ignore them but sometimes you just can't. I mean that shtuff going to keep going on as long as we let it and by ignoring it we're basically saying it's okay for that person to continue down the line.... I have to thank you all for such wonderful responses! I've started my day off with a big laugh and that's a GOOD thing right now! MrsEmmaPeel, welcome to my blog! I'm so tempted to respond to this idiot and Sir did look at it last night. He's wanting me to let it go, but asked me to tell Him if it continues. I know He wasn't happy about it, but also knows that there are some real dweebs on this site. Lhi, doing that one load of laundry was just so frustrating! I asked the guys how long they were going to have the sidewalks torn up. They told me it would all be done by the end of the day. Unfortunately, by the time I was ready to get things out of the dryer, they had torn up enough of the sidewalks and poured enough concrete that I almost didn't make it back to my apartment. I had to climb up the hill to get to the laundry room and down the slippery slope to get to the parking lot. That meant walking all the way around the building to crawl through the hole in front of my door. I'm just grateful I didn't fall, as the footing was pretty precarious. Of course, I'll be calling the complex management today to complain.... Dreamer, I've thought about banning him. Instead, I think I'm going to just ignore it and see what happens. EdsTweety, it's so nice to see you! I've been enjoying your blog and appreciate you taking the time to comment. I'm trying, so hard, to be the bigger person here.... DR, do you think we could arrange to get him Punk'd? I'd love to see that!Uniquejam, I just love your response! I'm going to hold onto that one just in case he decides to try this again.... lol

Stupid is as stupid does. Ignore him. He obviously has low self esteem. All we can do is have pity for his pathetic person.
