Ive been in a frenzy the last few days trying to get ready to go to Chicago. This trip will have me there for ten days. Guess what? This lucky girl is going to get to meet another new blogger! (Not someone who is new to blogging, but a blogger I havent met yet....) YAY! Why is it that the new system transition has to happen at the same time I have to complete my final term paper? Combine that with the back problems and you can see that I have a mess on my hands.... *sigh* It will all get done eventually. Sleep is NOT a requirement, is it? There was originally a series of trips planned, with the first one scheduled in mid-August. At that time, I was a bit uneasy with how Sir and I would handle the separations. It wasnt something I could verbalize, because I didnt really understand why it was creating anxiety for me. In a way, it was a blessing to go through all these issues with my back. I learned so much about Him and His commitment to me. Weve had some conversations that were eye-opening for me. Some of those demons that have haunted me were put to rest because of those discussions.... Two months ago, I was dreading our separation. Today, I can look at it as a necessary evil that is part of my job. He accepted that fact when He collared me. Im finally coming to terms with the separation anxiety I was feeling. I just wish I could figure out why I had been feeling it and hope it doesnt visit me again.... So, watch out, Chicago! The WistfulWench storm is heading your way.... |

Bet you didn't know I spent my first 27 years in (mostly) Bergen County,NJ.....Yep, right there in Montvale, just across the state line from you. I'm up there occasionally, still have a lot of family in the area. Next time I'd be happy to take you to dinner. Of course it would be a business dinner. (expense accounts are SOOOOO cool Enjoy your trip wistful......and have your host take to you to a Portillos at least once....Chicago cuisine at its finest!!! )

Wistful, I hope you have a good system upthingy, with as few roadblocks and pitfalls as are possible in todays modern world. LOL Here's wishing some quality Chi town down time for you, It's my home town so I'm kinda partial.... As you know, I recently had a chance to spend some quality time with a fellow blogger, and I made a friend. You get to go see a friend, and meet a new fellow blogger. You lucky girl you. Frank, I know where Montvale is! Spent some time there in school... Pet, I was wondering how your meeting went! I'm so happy to hear it went well and you've made a new friend. It's important to have someone you can talk to about those things that are hard in submissive life. It helps make us all stronger!

OMFG - We have GOT to go to Portillos next time. If you are into hot dogs, they are supposed to be awesome (i don't eat them, but i have heard). Their burgers are delish, and if we can splurge on dessert, they have a chocolate cake to DIE FOR!!!!! Seriously, a friend told me about this once, which i had to take him for his word. A few days later i had my first piece of Portillos chocolate cake, and i was hooked for life. i know there is one down in the Oak Brook area (i will have to look up exactly where they are), but that would be a fun and really cheap dinner for us all. As i said before, Monday night looks good, so give me a call.

Kat, you're on! I asked about Portillos at the office and got resounding kudos for it. I'll also ask where it is. I think it's close to the office. I'll call you over the weekend. Nan, I think you might have hit on something. His actions through this whole back saga showed me just how much He cares. And that He has a strong commitment to this relationship. A lot of those anxieties in the back of my mind have settled down. Thank you for your warm wishes!
