Move is done

We completed the move, but Fairpoint still hasn't gotten our phone hooked up. We hve to use our cell phones to access the internet. Verizon Wireless has a great deal going for that.
Fairpoint had told us we would have our phone and internet on 2/11. On the 11th, I called them, used up all my cell minutes, only to find out it was changed to the 17th. On the 17th, they told me they had lost the order, and they set up a new order for March 2nd. We'll see. As soon as I can, I will be changing to a responsible phone company.

Moving

Well, tonight and tomorrow are moving days. When I go to bed Saturday night it will be in my new apartment. Of course, I won't have phone or internet for a couple of weeks while Fairpoint gets its act together and transfers the old verizon database. Oh well.

Brush the dust off

Wow, it's been a while since I blogged. I have a lot of catching up to do.
Lets see, my Landlord evicted me because he's a douchebag. No reason given, and because I'm an at will tenant, he can do that.
We got a new apartmment, and will have a lease so its more reasonable for evictions. In other words, it won't happen.
We move on Jan. 30-31st. It will be nice to be out of this closet.
Of course, then my car died. The engine just seized up. It would cost more to fix than the car would be worth after its done. So I am in the market for an inexpensive car. Wonderful.
And I've been unemployed since July. I would have started a new job this week, but I can't walk to Scarboro from Lewiston.
I give up. Maybe the rest of the new year will be better.

Sleep

OMG. I wake up 21 times an hour just from breathing issues! 5 times an hour from leg movements! No wonder I'm always tired. I go back in next week to get fitted for a C-Pap machine. Hopefully I will start getting a good nights sleep soon.

To Sleep Perchance to Dream

Well, I had the sleep study, and now I have an appointment with the pulmonologist on the first. Hopefully it'll be sleep apnea, and with a c-pap machine, I'll start getting real sleep. Of course, it could be something else. I never remember my dreams, so it is possible that I'm not actually getting into REM sleep. If its not apnea, then it may be a neurological issue, and I have no idea what the next step is.

My sleep problems have gotten to the point that my doctor told me not to drive until I've been treated. I have a sleep study on the 17th, and then see the pulmonologist(sp) on the 1st. After that they will determine my course of treatment. I will probably be given a C-PAP machine, as it seems to be Sleep Apnea. So I am essentially housebound until sometime around mid July or so. My wife is driving me to my classes at USM-LAC, and doing the errands I usually do.
Its frustrating knowing that I can't just hop in the car if I want to go somewhere.

I don't know how many of you see or read the Lewiston Sun/Journal. If you do than over the last couple of days you would have seen articles about a shooting on Horton Street. My landlord decided to tell some trespassers to leave, and when they pulled a knife, he pulled a gun and shot one in the ass. Of course, the "victim" says he usually has a knife with him, but didn't that night. The cops found a knife near the scene. My landlord is being charged with "Elevated Aggravated Assault". whatever that means. I personally think that he might have over reacted to the trespassing, but if there was a threat to his life, than he did nothing wrong.

I got up the other morning, everything seemed to be going about normal. Until ... (cue sinister music)
I got a pone call from the landlord. He lives downstairs, and was heading out to run some errands and noticed that the drivers side rear windo of my car was smashed in. I went out to look at it, and found a large rock sitting in the back seat. It looks like it was an accident, someone hit the fence next door, which is a good 4 feet higher than our drive, backed up and flung a couple of rocks out. And I only have liability isurance, so I have to pay the whole cost, out of pocket!

Well, I had a good birthday. No spankings, but some nice gifts. I got new cookware! And the picture is of the sculpey clay cake I made.
