I hit the big 4-0. I am actually coming to terms with this milestone. I'm just afraid of what my family has planned for me. They can be pretty devious about these things.

Only 8 days until I hit 4-0. Hopefully I'll get a good nights sleep between now and then. I am still hoping for a good spanking for my birthday

This has been one messed up month.
only about 3 weeks until my birthday.
I am out on medical leave, because my wife appears to have narcolepsy. She goes in for a sleep clinic so we can get a definite diagnosis. Until we have said diagnosis, I will not be working. It's not safe to leave her alone for any real length of time. She could fall asleep, without warning, at anytime. And she has! We were at Wal-Mart the other day, and she fell asleep waling in the store.
The inside door panels on my car are falling off. I have no idea how to fix that, and I can't afford a mechanic.
We've all had a bad cold/ the flu for the last week or two. Not helpful.

I think its 25 days until my 40th. I may have lost count.
We went to an Easter Egg hunt in Norway, ME yesterday. A lot of the businesses on Main Street had plywood eggs that they had decorated and hid in their shops, and kids had to find them. When they did, they got some candy and when they found all the eggs, at the Library they got another prize.
While we were out and about, we saw a potentially beautiful Victorian house, pre 1894 construction. The property owner doesn't want to demolish it, but he wants to use the land its on. If I could afford to relocate and rennovate it, I would be one of the happiest men on the planet. I can afford to buy the land to put it on (with a mortgage) but not the rest.

Well with 26 days to go till my birthday, my voice has decided to take a vacation. It's too bad I don't have enough sick and vacation time available to make up for this.

I have had some interesting suggestions for how to deal with my upcoming birthday.
faya34 suggested me getting dressed as "Little Lord Fauntleroy" and getting left at a club.
Any other ideas?
