I enjoy the thoughts of others. I go through the blog posts to read what was offered. I look for gender and content. Gender will help me understand the perspective of the poster. Content, usually in the title, tells me what will be presented.

Today I found that few want to share content in the title. Sometimes the content is misleading. Often the content demonstrates that the poster does not understand syntacts. Why make a post about what another is doing yet not mention that other in the content? So misleading. I should make sure to read before posting so I am not guilty of the same problem.

This is a journal entry, not intended for feedback. I come ALT explore my kinks. I do not intend take up political positions. I do have those positions and will, rarely, share them.

Why do people post comments about current events? We have enough material provide much food for thought.

are so many other places where your thoughts can be seen and appreciated.

WE have a trial going on in Minnesota that will render a judgement on a police officer that is accused of murdering a civilian. Let the jury decide his fate. While that is going on, was another murder by police. That needs go through the legal system

If we need render a judgement then needs be on the overall actions of the Police. is not that one or two committed murder under color but that the system fostered such actions. If a person is caught for disobeying the law, then let him or her be cited for the infraction. Is a reason that the Police run a background on every stop? Do they run a background on every stop? The implication is that the background is run on non=whites primarily. Would their time be better spent serving the community? I do not like read about the police being called out for someone having a mental breakdown end up killing that person. If a policeman is removed for cause, why does that history not follow him/her to the next position?

Police are given tremendous power. With that power comes tremendous responsibility. If they cannot live up to the responsibility then they should be removed from duty.

Given the power and responsibility that police have does not excuse them from obeying the law. Accountability comes with the power.

I often run across commentary about Cock pictures. I disagree with using those as profile or first contact photos. I think that there are more appropriate ways to introduce yourself.

Then a remember all those colorful birds. It is the male that provides much of the plumage that is so colorful. It is used as a way to attract the more drab females that they want so badly. Perhaps these cock pictures is our way of presenting to attract those delightful females that we seek so much.

I am retired. I have lots of time to catch up on my reading. I have become fascinated with history. My two favorite semi-quotes are: Only the victors write the histories. and the responsibility of successful nations is to get out of the way of up and coming new nations. Think of the Syrians getting out of the way of Greece only to have the Greeks reach a pinnacle to be replaced by the Romans.

A piece I read a while back talked about what came after the removal of the Cherokee from their lands. The stated thesis is that the GNP of the Cherokee nation was twice that of the United States of America. To consider is that the Cherokee abandoned their homes, their field and their crops. The Displacing society came into existing farmland with buildings and crops waiting to be worked and harvested.
A tidbit that came up in me latest reading from "Lies My Teacher Told Me" There was a town in Ohio that was an English settlement. The English were less than 40% of the population. The rest was make of were a compendium of French, Spanish, Blacks, and six different tribes of Native Americans. The interesting point about this is that the English turned to the Savages to interpret what the French or Spanish were saying. Seems that these savages were conversant in five European languages and 16 Native American languages. Amazing to think that the sophisticated white needed the Native Americans so that they could communicate with other Europeans. Another interesting tidbit comes from California. John Sutter built a fort. He used the natives to build it, insufficient labor pool to do it with non-natives. He built a wall around it 19 feet tall with artillary to defend it. Then the fun begins. It seems that his military consisted of 300 Native American who manned the walls and protected its population from the native savages. It is amazing what simple omissions can do to turn History from colorfull to all greys.

Attached is a photo of the Bute fire in California as seen from Tuolumne Ca.

Here we go again. Many untruths
There is no risk to having a pipe line filed with toxic goo transporting across the United States.
There is no global warming (Where is the winter rains?)
There is no need to be vaccinated
and There is danger in receiving a vaccination.

Last time I did no in depth check, there was a danger in receiving a vaccination but not from the viral particles. The danger was from the chemicals used to carry the virus. (Think of people who are now allergic to peanuts, the peanut oil was used to carry many antigenic forms for injection) The risk of not receiving that injection far exceeds the risk of not receiving that injection. Think of all the people who suffered from Polio. Think of all the secondary problems for those who ended up with mumps or measles or scarlet fever. Definitely makes the shot worth while.

What is wrong with these politicos? Why do they not do the research before they open their mouths? Christi locked up a woman because she might have had Ebola virus then turns around and advises people to not get vaccines against measles!!! Or how about our ophthalmologist, Paul, who, despite his training does not see the dangers of his advice.

So sad that we put out at risk just to validate a politicians need for re-election.

Cousin Bob has finally escaped this world of woe. He came down with Polio when he was 8. you can see him as a young man out at the diggings enjoying life. He had a sharp wit and a constant flow of information. He spent the last 20 years permanently hospitalized. He drove. His servos failed at a critical moment and he was left with a broken neck. His primary contact with the world was through his computer. I am glad to say that I provided most of the support over the years including sites where he could enjoy the beauty of the human body. He received Masters from two distinguished Universities. He brought love and joy to all who met him. We will all miss him. I include this eulogy for Bob on this site as he would have enjoyed visiting here.

Hygrophorus is one of the pretiest mushrooms. It has a waxy appearance and always vivid colors. It comes out in the spring and reminds me of the beauty that we so often overlook. I meet lots of people through ALT and I find these people to be fascinating they remind me of the spring Hygrophorus.
