The train ride round-trip is about five hours.

Blackwater Falls is in Blackwater Falls State Park near Davis, West Virginia. Once in the park signs will guide you to the falls. There is a trail and boardwalk that takes you down close to the falls on the west side. There is also an overlook high up on the other side of the gorge from which you can get some very nice views.
I went down to West Virginia for some hiking and camping and got rained on, a lot. My reward for trudging around in the rain and mud was to see waterfalls with a lot of water in them. Blackwater Falls does not usually look like this. Normally it is segmented and a lot more rock is visible.

The so-called "supermoon" occurs when a new or full moon is in its closest orbit to our planet. On Saturday the moon will be 356,577 kilometers away, the closest it's been in 18 years.
"The moon will be a little closer than it was last year, 1/4000 of a percent closer," Gordon Johnston, planetary program executive for NASA, told FoxNews.com. "The distance between the Earth and the moon changes a lot in its orbit. Really the only change is that it appears bigger when it's close. This coming full moon will be the brightest of the year."
Astrologer Richard Nolle, who coined the term "supermoon" in the 1970s, warns of a "supermoon risk window" from March 16-22, saying there will be an increase in tidal surges and earthquakes. But scientists dispute that vehemently, and say the Japan earthquake had nothing to do with the supermoon.

Kelly has published 15 papers on the topic and reviewed more than 50 others, including one that covered some 200 studies. He concludes that there is not strong evidence of an effect.
"The studies are not consistent," he said. "For every positive study, there is a negative study."
Loony Dogs?
Case in point: Two separate studies published in the December 23, 2000 issue of the British Medical Journal contradict each other on the question of whether animals bite people more during a full moon.
Chanchall Bhattacharjee and colleagues at the Bradford Royal Infirmary in Bradford, England, reviewed 1,621 patients admitted to the infirmary's emergency room between 1997 and 1999 for animal bites and found that the chances of being bitten were twice as high on or around full-moon days.
But Simon Chapman at the University of Sydney in Australia compared dates of admission for dog bites to public hospitals in Australia with dates of the full moon over a 12-month period and found no positive relation between the full moon and dog bites.
In fact, Chapman found that full-moon days were associated with slightly lower admissions—4.6 compared with 4.8 per day. Of the 18 days with more than 10 admissions, the maximum peak centered on the New Year holiday. Full moons coincided with none of the peaks.
Chapman, who said the study was a "one-off curiosity driven exercise," has no idea why the full moon appears to cause animals in England to bite more humans but has no bearing on when dogs in Australia bite.
Similar contradictions can be found when comparing many other studies as well, such as whether or not violence, police arrests, or self poisoning increase during a full moon, according to Eric Chudler, a psychologist at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Of the studies I have read, I find that there is very little evidence that the full moon has a direct effect on human or animal behavior," he said.

Regardless of what the studies say, the power of the moon is often used to explain a wide range of events, from human insanity, violent crimes, and traffic accidents to putting people in a celebratory and romantic mood.
Why? "One reason is that people have selective memories," said Chudler. "When something unusual happens and there is a full moon, people might notice the moon and assign blame."
Another mistake, according to Chudler, is failing to make the distinction between correlation and causation. He notes that just because a study finds a relationship between a full moon and certain behavior, it does not mean the moon caused this behavior.
"These are correlational studies," he said.
Kelly suggested that people who conduct studies on the relationship between the full moon and human behavior often do not collect data throughout the entire month to see if the behavior is more elevated at full-moon time compared to the rest of the month.
Another problem, suggests Kelly, lies in media coverage.
"Journalists pay too much attention to finding sensational news or news that will support interesting results," he said. "Hence [they] ignore the findings of studies and tend to prefer stories or anecdotes from policemen or nurses."
Or studies purportedly backed by a tequila manufacturer.
According to a report in the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph Mexican tequila distiller Jose Cuervo sponsored a psychiatrist at Kings College in London to study the association between the full moon and strange behavior as portrayed in literature.
The psychiatrist, Glenn Wilson, found that the full moon has been portrayed in folklore and legends for centuries as cause for celebration, particularly in the times before modern lighting.
"There is good reason to believe that people's personalities do change around the time of the full moon, not because of any astronomical force, but because it creates the optimum lighting conditions for feeling carefree and mischievous," Wilson told the paper

Would you know what to do or stand there and watch

A two months ago. I left the house on my way to work. while driving down the road (Fm-1485) I notices vehicles stop in the middle of the road. Then notices vehicles was driving around the vehicle that was in front of them. After the the two vehicle in front of me pass the vehicle that was stop in the middle of the road. I notice a female out side the car and rolling on the ground. So i jumped out of my vehicle and run up to see what was going on. I then notice that the female had got back in the vehicle. I didnt have time to think then. I notice that the vehicle had hit another vehicle. I also notice that the vehicle was on fire. So i dail 911 and put the phone in my pocket talking to the 911 operater while talking to the female inside the burning vehicle. I told the female that she need to get out of the burning vehicle due to the dash was starting to burn. to let every one know if a dash in side of a vehicle start burning it make a poison gas that could killed some one in a matter of seconds. I told the 911 that the 911 that the vehicle was totally on fire and burning on the inside of the vehicle. I was going to pulled the female out of the vehicle before she was over come with the black smoke that was coming from the front dash. So I pick up the female out of the burning vehicle while still talking to 911 and carried her away from the vehicle toward the back of the vehicle. The reason why toward the back most vehicle have what they call 5 mile bumpers when heated they shoot out and go about 600 feet and with the force they could brake any one legs if hit with in the front of the vehicle. So i carried her about 100 feet away from the vehicle. I sat her down and still talking to 911 i told them that the vehicle was was totally burning and turn to the female asked her if she was hurting. she told me that she was having chest pain where the steering wheel hit her in the chest.meanwhile the female was telling me that her handbag was still the burning vehicle so i went back into the burning vehicle twice looking for the female handbag. I could not find it both times. Then with a few minutes the fire dept and the paramedic was there. I was so proud of my self that i save a life here. But what I notice that was really sad that every one was passing her while she was rolling on the ground and no one would stop to help her. Plus when i notice the vehcle burning i had no time to think there. If you stop and think she could have die on me there from the smoke from the front dash. After every thing die down her husband walked over and told me thank you for saving my wife. I told some of my friends what i did by saving a female from a burning vehicle. they asked me what was i thinking at the time due to the vehcle was burning? I told them that I didnt have times to think there I got her out of the burning vehicle. Now I want you to think there for a few minutes put your self in my shoes here. If you pulled up on to a burning vehicle what would you do? would you jumped out and pulled the female out of the car or would you stand there and watch?

Due to the scale of the task at hand, it is highly likely that rigorous safety checks will need to be employed before the demolition of the Statue of Liberty can commence; thus as a temporary measure, it is proposed that a large burkha is used to cover the statue, thereby shielding this horrendous eye sore from public view as well as sending a strong message to its French creators.

my family call me last night and she was watching fox news which saying can american take four more years with this president. with work being hard to find. unrest in mexico over war over drugs. the unrest in the mid east make gas go up every day here in houston the gas is 3.60 a gal just think it wll be 5.00 a gal soon. i come from a long line of republican but in the 1800 with my famly back in west virginia every male on my father side is repubican here. can we take four more year with the president who is in office now. what ever happen to 'we the people ' next your know the president will put a tax on sub and slave. it like years back the post office wanted american to paid for each e-mail we send. i would like to know how every one feels look what is going on in the middle east people standing up and being shot and killed for what they believe in. what ever happen to the words ' united we stand one nation'

2004 i watch my son being born in galveston. minutes after he was born i held him in my arms. then thing change when she got him home. she told me that she wanted 10,800 a day i told her no. so the next day i came home and the child was gone. it took me three months to find where the child was at. i found the child down in mexico. things i have miss his frist steps, his frist words. she has been doing nothing but playing head games with me over the years. she has told me that the child dont need me in his life. the child dont want to even know who his father is. to be honest the child dont even know who i am. she keep telling me that she want 5000 a month. i have not seen him now in almost 7 years. from what every one who has seen him in person said he walked like me and he talked like me and acts like me . i miss holding him letting him know that i am around. she told me that her family dont want me around him at all. now the only way i have see him is in photos. if she dont get her way she text me every 15 minutes until she does. the only things she is wanting is money. Update i ended up getting a lawyer and filed papers in montgomery county texas for divorce from her after seven years of not be able to see her or my son in 7 years now it took her a month to get the court order papers in mexico and she signs them and send them back to the county for the divorce here

my name is terry glad to meet you. i have been living in north houston for about 6 years now. for about two months now i have been burning out at my job that i work for the last 14 years now. i have seen so much in my life that would scare the most of you away. i have walked in to homcides, assaults, drug raids,drunks, in the 14 years i have met the film crem from fox tv program called 'cops" over many years. in the past few months i even got to meet the film crew from A&E the program called "the frist 48 hours" which was on tv back in dec which i mess due to i dont have cable at home. i have seen the real thing that would make the tv program 'CSI' a fake program to watch. i have fears while working being shot and killed and dying a lone. since i have been woking there i have been working alone there if something would had happen to me while i am working no one would know that i am missing until hours later. i had to wear a bullet proof vest while i was working to make sure that i would make it home safe. i had no time to deal with any thing that i view the only time i had from the time i got off to when i came back to work. plus i didnt have really any one to lean on or to talk to in person after seeing the same thing day after day i have burn out. i have been shot at 30 times three was at point blink . i am very happy they was a bad shot here they miss me. so i have been trying to change job here for the last two months now to get out of the spot lights there

Super moon

Saturday may 5,2012 is the full moon. But there is something special about the full moon is called the super moon. That means it will be 30% more brighter and 30 % more bigger then any full moon out of the year. The super moon is also called the lover moon. It will be really beautiful to see. A plus it would be so wonderful to go to the beach with some one you really care about. If you are on the beach look to the east and watch the super moon come up over the water. I would make some one feel so special to take them on a full moon lit walk on the beach to show how much that you really care about them. the super moon would only make the tide come in stronger that is all. So if you are able to see it on the beach with some one that you really care about it would be a good thing. But remember it is a full moon which it will bring out the nut balls so please be really careful while any one is out. The last super moon was the day before the waves wash on to japan which the super moon had nothing to do with the big wave that hit japan. The super moon will be 1,400 miles closer to the earth that night. It will be such a beautiful thing to see on saturday night.
