I'm intelligent & demand the same. Emotionally disturbed indiividuals can keep their distance. I don't want to play games...I want someone who is confident and balanced mentally.
I realize that my profile leaves a bit to be desired in the way of useful infomation, but I think I may be getting a bit jaded with this whole thing. I just had a rather unpleasant experience with online interaction; however, I am attemping to avoid bitterness...........withers the heart. I really am just very loathe to deal with game-playing at this point. I am a spontaneous, outdoorsey kind of person. I also consider myself to be intelligent & articulate, and though physical attraction is very important, I find that those qualities, along with a sardonic sense of humor & great personality, are much more paramount. I should mention that I am a HUGE Packers fan (GO PACK!), so I realize this may be our only communique......lol. I like to listen to all kinds of music........bluegrass, old-time country, indie-rock, alt-country, funk, metal, eclectronica..........another mixed bag, lol. My favorite artists include Freedy Johnston, Underworld, Mason Jennings, Vic Chessnut, Bill Monroe & Hank Williams, Sr.
The first car I ever owned was given to me on my 16th birthday by my Daddy. It was a 1980 Camaro Z28, white w/blue racing stripes. It had a racing engine & cam, keystone rims & custom stereo. I never did give him a name.......lol. I grew up on a farm outside a small town in eastern Iowa (having a cool car was very important). My father lamented for years that buying that car was the biggest mistake he ever made. Even, as he was dying (he passed away a few years ago), he was telling the nurses all about that car. The three things I cannot live w/o........................this seems kinda silly for an outdoorsey kinda gal, but here we go.........lip balm, lotion & kleenex............I like to be clean & smooth...lol...........oh, & bottled water - gotta have water. That's technically 4 things, but hopefully you'll be generous.............. My all time favorite movies..........I like bizarre comedies and movies that take me out of my comfort zone. Let's see.
The Big Lebowski Shaun of the Dead How to Get Ahead in Advertising Glengary Glen Ross Swimming With Sharks Trainspotting Saw (I have a weak spot for horror movies, especially those with surprise endings) Drugstore Cowboy & pretty much any zombie movie - they are cheesy, but somehow appealing. My favorite TV show right now is Dexter......it's on Showtime on Sundays. It's about a foresic detective who is a serial killer, yet he only kills other serial killers, so he's somewhat of a hero.
What am I embarrassed to say I watch......pretty much any of the reality shows I watch on VH1.......I love new York, Rock of Love...etc. It's like a train wreck to me - I fear to look, yet I cannot turn away....lol.
I'm a quote kinda gal, so I will leave you with a quote from the Tao te Ching, chapter 12 from a translation by Stephen Mitchell.
Colors blind the eye. Sounds deafen the ear. Flavors numb the taste. Thoughts weaken the mind. Desires wither the heart. The Master observes the world but trusts his inner vision. He allows things to come and go. His heart is open as the sky. -Lao Tzu > >
