This is an unending path of learning we are on in this D/s life. I am a submissive(have been ALL my life) who LIVES this lifestyle and have submitted my whole body, mind, heart,and soul to my Master. I would not know any other way of life now than to be his slave. I live and breathe this. That is not to say I am not a whole woman, with my own mind, my own interests, my own opinions(albeit, in the end, it is Master who is in charge and who makes the decisions). But this is me.....a submissive. This is who I am and have been since the day I was born. Many people play at his lifestyle not truly understanding the depth and beauty of it, and not knowing that for most of us, it is how we live, not just how we play.
(Hopping up onto soap box here)...Just have to get something off my chest. I love to read profiles here....and I want to point out something to all the people who are, or think they are submissive. So many of them have profiles that only say...."I want a Master who will do THIS for me, and THAT for me. I want a Dom who will tie me up and make ME feel good." Thats fine. What YOU want out of this lifestyle is very important, and you must always express this to your Master(or prospective Master). But you have forgotten or do not understand what it means to truly 'submit' to someone, and all thats entails. If you really are a submissive and want to devote yourself to a Dom or Master, you not only need to think about what pleasure YOU are going to get out of it, but you must start thinking about what YOU will do for your future Master. That's what being submissive is about....devoting your whole being towards giving that special someone all the pleasure you can, meeting their needs, serving THEM. And the more you do that......please THEM.....the more they will desire to please YOU. And you dont do all those things just for your own gain.......you do it because you love them deeply, you want to see that look of contentment and happiness on their face,and you want to serve them with love and honor.....and you want to know that their soul has been touched by your love.
