Maybe its time to move on. Alt is consistantly and eternally finding ways to confound and confuse its members, especially those with paid membership. The profiles that turn up as new/recent members and those that are 'online' definitely Alt created. Not less than one out of five have exactly the same form and style. Sexy young pretty female with one maybe two photos. very short paragraph often claiming to be no limits slaves and no network friends.
Many chide the proliferation of wanna bees here. They maybe an irritation but to a degree I do understand. Life, there's what I want from it and to do with it all too often over ruled by what demands to be cared for and lived with.
Add to this the annoying Alt pop-up adds everytime I log on. These too are Alt generated false adds with no substance. Even as a Gold member Alt finds it has the right and responsibility to end my Alt time with a page stating 'Not a member yet?' or 'Alt noticed that you have been idle for a time and has logged you off for your protection.' Idle? More times than not this occurs as I am writing a lengthy email which is lost instantly or just surfing looking for interesting people and profiles. My last complaint, for now, is how Alt removes people from my friends network with no explanation and when asked defended themselves saying that the individuals removed thier profiles or were incative. If I want them to pursue this I am to remember which friends are missing I am sorry I haven't sufficient memory to do this. Atleast on the hotlist at the end they list members that have been inactive or removed. That shouldn't be such a difficult task. The longest time frame Alt acknowledges is 'more than three months' so what is being 'inactive'.
I think that I may post this as a blog and hope to hear the opinion of fellow members to comment. Maybe this would also be a good subject for the open letters forum. I pray that others are having a more successful experience finding and enjoying members regardless of their level of activity.
